Great Barrier Airlines Grounds PA31 Fleet

From the news website Stuff Great Barrier Airlines have temporarily grounded their two PA31 aircraft, namely PA31-310 ZK-NSN and Embraer 820C (aka PA31-350) ZK-RDT.

Navajo ZK-NSN has been static outside Hawker Pacific's Ardmore hangar for much of the week while Chieftain ZK-RDT positioned from Auckland to Ardmore this morning. The operator had been flying Chieftain ZK-MYS over the busy Christmas/New Year period and this aircraft has been sitting outside Flightline at Ardmore for a few weeks now.

And in more regional airline news, an article also from Stuff regarding the possibility of interline travel to Air NZ services:

  1. LYP is filling the void.

  2. This is unfortunate for GBA, a good move changing their maint over, just hope they can sort out the 'descripancies' quickly
